My researcher safety blog has been re-posted on Masculinities 101

I was delighted to be asked by Clay Darcy if my blog post on researcher risk and safety could be re-posted on the Masculinities 101 blog! It has just been re-posted there today so if you haven’t already, please do give it a read here.

I am really pleased by the reaction that this post has engendered. Not only has it prompted the development of a small network of academics interested in issues relating to the emotional consequences of doing social research, but it has also helped me to get some funding to run an event at Glasgow Caledonian University with Dr Jo Neary and Dr Lisa Bradley. You can read a summary of the outcomes of this event here. For me, this is an example of a really positive reason to use blogs as an academic.
